Reasons to love Freo part 4

North Mole light house

Cycle out along the breakwater to watch the ships sail past, dangle a line,or perhaps just watch the sun sink gently in the west.

Ian, what bike is that? Do you get to bring a bicycle with you when you're in Perth periodically, or do you have to borrow one? It's natural I guess that you seem more aware than me of Freo's nautical side, it being a port you come to for work. It's nice to see the place through someone else's eyes.

Awesome! It reminds me of a lighthouse my dad used to take me to. How many can say they have a bike to match the lighthouse? Tell me, Ian :)

Peace :)

BB.The bike is a Peugeot fold up.Working for a shipping company,I'm spoiled rotten when it comes to travel.(well,my bike is spoiled rotten).I just put it on the first availble west bound ship, and it's waiting for me when I arrive. For me,travelling without a bike is a little like flying without a book.I just can't imagine it.

Most of these shots were taken in one day last summer.Next stop'the Gong'.

cheers,

Ian

Thanks,Chandra,I'm glad it brings back happy memories.I thought the bike would get lost in the background.

Dear MG:I always thought photography was an easy gig.I was wrong. It was only through starting a blog I came to realize how hard it is to shoot a winner.

There's so much amazing writing and photography out there on the web,I do feel a little intimidated.Sandra,on'Classsic Copenhagen'is the only person I know who can shoot an old ball point pen lying in a wet gutter and turn it into a thing of beauty.

cheers,

Ian
