finally,I spotted a bike(in Docklands)

All alone, this faithful treadly awaits it's owner.
....who had to trudge across here to get where he or she was going.

Despite the preachings of this man, most architects and town planners in this country are pretty hopeless when it comes to designing facilities for bikes and their owners. to wit, the disastrous Fitzroy street and Swanson Street cycle paths;but more on those later. I've been cycling past this bike parking lot for nearly 3 years now and this was the first time I have ever seen a bike parked there. As we all know the joy of a bicycle is that it transports the rider right to the front door. This park is located 300m away, at the far end of a vast car park. It's a rarely used thing of beauty.

It's a ridiculous waste,Vicki. They may as well let cars park there,or perhaps build a ride through cafe? I must fess up.That's a staged photo, using my fast schlepper.

sorry.
